Last year, inmates in the BCSO Carpentry Work Program assisted the Forever Young Treehouses Inc. to build the first ever handicap accessible tree-house in the state. The treehouse is located in Assonet, MA and will be utilized by the residents of the Institute for Developmental Disabilities Inc. The inmates contributed their unique carpentry skills and also helped to reduce labor costs. The Bristol County Sheriff's Office Carpentry Work Program gives back to the community and helps to improve the quality of life for those living with disabilities.
