Zephaniah Leonard 1774-1809
Zephaniah Leonard was born in Raynham, Massachusetts on January 18, 1737 and died in Raynham on April 11, 1814. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Revolutionary War. According to war records, he served in the 3rd Bristol Company of the Massachusetts Regiment under Colonel George Williams. From December 8, 1776 through December 22, 1776, he marched to Warren, Rhode Island by way of Rehoboth with his regiment. Zephaniah resigned from his position due to health concerns in February 1779. |
